The movie was originally signed by Varun Dhawan, but he dropped out due to busy schedule.
Lootcase was originally supposed to release in 11 October 2019 but was pushed to April 2020. However, the film never got a theaterical release due to Covid-19 Pandemic and hence finally released on OTT Platform on Disney + Hotstar on 31st July 2020
Kunal Khemu shot for this movie along with 'Kalank' , hence the similarities in physical appearances between Nandan Kumar (Lootcase) and Abdul Khan (Kalank)
