The love potion is a reference to the Sandra Bullock movie "Love Potion nr 9" where potion nr 8 is the one which makes you fall in love, and nr 9 is to see if your love was true.
In the German version, the penguins are voiced by their actors from the TV series- Michael Deffert, Oliver Feld and Björn Schalla - instead of Die Fantastischen Vier. Rico has no speaking role but is voiced by Lutz Schnell in the TV series.
