TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

David Parker tells the story of the time when clearing out a production office, coming across a pile of scripts forwarded on from Hollywood agents following the success of "Malcolm". On the front page of one of the rejected scripts, Nadia Tass had written across the front page "We've already done this. Pass." The script was titled "Forrest Gump".

The model tram that Malcolm "built" ran on a motorbike engine, the rest having being put together with spare parts by workers at Preston Workshops in Melbourne, Australia. After the film was completed, the tram was donated to the Tramway Museum Society of Victoria.

The getaway car that turns into two motorcycles was a Honda Zot. Built from 1970 to 1974 with a 600cc motorcycle engine.

Won almost every category at the 1986 AFI Awards - winning a totsl of 8 accolades, for Best Film, Direction, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Original Screenplay, Editing, and Sound
