• Story:
  The movie Malli Pelli by MS Raju is all you would anticipate from its trailer and then some. The movie revisits various public incidents that Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh experienced in order to fill in the blanks and portray the tale that everyone assumes they already know. We take everything with a grain of salt because of how theatrical some moments are. However, the movie stumbles when it transforms the partners of Narendra and Parvati into caricatures in an effort to validate their love. Given that 'Soumya's' accusations are well known in real life as well, you may infer how she is portrayed. When he refuses to give her what she wants, she comes out as hysterical despite her strong first impression of him. The exchanges between Vanitha and Narendra and the conversations she is provided are also ineffective. The same is true of Parvati's longtime flatmate, who works as both an actor and a screenwriter in the Kannada film business. Although Parvati has a good cause for wanting to leave him, the moment in which she actually does so is so theatrical that it's difficult to take it seriously. The story of two consenting adults who chance to fall in love and are stigmatised by society is ultimately told in Malli Pelli. If that's your cup of tea, watch it.
