Martha Stewart stated she was upset and shocked with the final result, saying the director had total access to her archive but really used very little. She also revealed she tried to get some of the last scenes that director RJ Cutler included in the film thrown out as she had ruptured her Achilles' tendon was limping at the time they were filmed but Cutler refused. She also asked for a score with rap music, like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg or Fredwreck, but the director opted for classical score which she dubbed "lousy".
