STORY

Story

The silent film clip of the young Maxie was actually a clip of Carole Lombard, future wife of Clark Gable.

The name of the silent screen actress and ghost in Jack Finney's original 'Marion's Wall' (1973) novel was ''Marion Marsh''.

Final theatrical feature film of actress Ruth Gordon. Another one of her last movies that she appeared in around this time, The Trouble with Spies (1987), opened in 1987, about two years after 'Maxie' (1985), but The Trouble with Spies (1987) was shelved for about three years before its first release, and had actually been filmed a year before 'Maxie' (1985).

On Tuesday 20th November 20 1984, auditions for extras were held at Stage 18 at Laird International Studios in Culver City, California. During this interview, the male extras were asked if they were willing to cut their hair in a short 1920s style. Some extras agreed to cut their hair short while other extras did not.
