Trivia

The release of this film was held up for nearly 27 years due to the fact that the promoters had declared bankruptcy and didn't have the finances to help cover the expenses of editing.

The scenes where the French anarchists try to tear down the iron fence actually occured on the first night of the festival.

Kris Kristofferson performed twice during the festival. The footage of him performing "Me and Bobby McGee" was from his first performance.

This was the last major performance of Jimi Hendrix in England.

According to the companion book on the festival, Neil Young was originally supposed to accompany Joni Mitchell during her performance, but he was unable to arrive on time.
