Due to Alyssa Milano's pregnancy during the second season, she often carried large purses on the show to disguise it.
Originally the premiere of Season 3 was going to focus on Savi and Joss being in a rift due to Savi witnessing Joss and Harry her ex-husband on the beach kissing. This would set up their rocky relationship for the season. However, once Alyssa Milano left the show at the end of season 2 due to production being moved to Vancouver the story line had to be dropped and Savi ends her relationship with Joss through email.
April's mother is portrayed by Lynn Whitfield. Rochelle Aytes and Whitfeld previously played mother/daughter in Madea's Family Reunion (2006).
Alyssa Milano left the show at the end of season 2 due to production being moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver. She would later be replaced by Jennifer Esposito.
Had the show gotten a fifth season, Yunjin Kim had not returned to it.
