IMDbDocumentary filmmaker Suzanne Hillinger, along with Kristof, through interviews with workers and their advocates, convincingly argues that campaigns such as Traffickinghub, which aim to reduce abuse and help victims, end up harming another marginalized group: the porn actors and sex workers who thrive on these platforms, which allow them to work independently. "Money Shot" contains certain subgenre clichés, although it generally works against them. Hillinger avoids re-enactments in favor of more casual moments with porn pros. Hillinger further emphasizes that some of the most outspoken anti-Pornhub advocates have links to the extremist political right. This is a documentary that shines a bright light on the transgressions of a capitalist industry but never losing sight of the employees whose success and safety should be the profession's first focus. All in all, this is a must watch documentary about a capitalist industry, and how the employees work and earn their fame.
