Film is based on true events John Abraham plays Amar Naik,Emraan Hashmi as Vijay Salaskar,Pratiek Babbar as Ashwin Naik,Amol Gupte as Arun Gawli and Mahesh Manjrekar as Balasaheb Thackrey.
Amar Naik's wife and daughter asked court for stay order on the film as they claimed to have no idea on the making of the film based on Amar Naik.Gangster DK Rao also asked for the satay order John Abraham's character was also modeled on him but Mumbai high court rejected their plea.
Bhau's role was originally offered to Anil Kapoor who opted out due to date hassles and delay.Jackie Shroff was later cast in the role but he to opted out and Mahesh Manjrekar did the role.
The film was announced in 2014 with Anil Kapoor ,Vivek Oberoi ,John Abraham and Manoj Bajpai.
John Abraham was honest to give a statement that filmmakers opted for OTT release of few films as their films were bad.But they are confident on their film and opted for theatrical release.
