This is the first Glitch Productions show not created by the Lerdwichagul brothers, but rather by Liam Vickers, who was trained by them to get experience on making a 3D animated show.
According to LiamVickersAnimation: "I like to imagine the drones stole their hair (and any unique clothing items) from the countless dead humans lying around after the mining disaster. Fashion, babeeyyyyyy!!"
N was originally going to be the only drone with any clothes - stealing them from dead humans just cuz they looked neat. However, it became clear clothing could help differentiate all the drones while playing up their eerily human qualities. . . not that they get cold.
While in the Original Doll is only talking in Russian in the Russian dub she is the only one talking in English.
