The film is Strongman Pictures Entertainment's second feature film. Their first feature, 'From Parts Unknown : Fight Like A Girl' (2015), which was shot first, world premiered in Melbourne in January 2015 after 'MurderDrome' at world premiered in 2013.
The producer injured himself and had major back surgery a few weeks after shooting began - eliminating both the producer and the only other source of funding for the shoot.
At the North American premiere in the USA in Louisiana, some of the Northshore Roller Derby came dressed as characters from the film.
A ten minute green screen sequence was shot after the film was first signed to a distributor to try and make it feature length... but was never completed because nobody knew how to do that really.
The film cost less to make than it would cost to buy a second hand car, but this is mainly due to the fact that nobody who worked on it was paid.
"Brad: I've lived here my whole life. You know what I've never noticed before? Trans Em: A derelict skate park with a neon sign on the roof that says 'Welcome to the MurderDrome'? Brad: Yeah. That."
"Psych: When a ghostly psycho on skates wants to fuck with my shit, I'll shove my dick right up her nose!"
