The city of Newark, New Jersey refused to allow filming in city limits.

Many of the scenes were shot in green point Brooklyn in the spring of 1994.

A lot of the cast also appeared in the TV show New York Undercover.

Though set in Newark New Jersey, the majority of the movie was filmed in Brooklyn, NY.

The phrase, "you know what I'm saying?" Is used more times in this movie than any movie. Ever.
