TRIVIA

Trivia

Widely considered the first "commercial" or "commercially released" gay feature film ever made in the U.K., where the story was directly about gay relationships and themes, but which was not about crime (blackmail or murder), or purely stereotypical.

Features a few scenes of clear full male frontal nudity, which was exceedingly daring and unusual for the late 1970s.

First credited acting role for well known director Derek Jarman.

Filmed around the Notting Hill area, Holborn, Hammersmith (driving past the church near the Hammersmith Apollo) and Earl's Court. Jim the main character can be see in several scenes driving up Pembridge Road towards The Gate Cinema which was the first U.K. Cinema to show the film (where it had a very successful run before transferring for a further run in central London). The Gate recently showed the remastered version with a Q&A with the director Ron Peck. (July 2017).

There is no dialogue for approximately the last 8 minutes of the movie.
