Nico Mastorakis never intended to actually direct the film, but on the second day of shooting after seeing that some of the dallies turned out to not be so great, Mastorakis fired the original director and took over as director.

During filming, on Mastorakis' first day on the set as director, snow suddenly started falling after he called "Action" and while several of the actors were still in summer clothing, Mastorakis had to wear heated boots and socks to stay warm.
