TRIVIA

Trivia

This is Robert Eggers' passion project, and he had been developing it since 2015.

Willem Dafoe, who plays Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, previously portrayed Max Schreck (the actor who played Count Orlok in the original 1922 film) in 'Shadow of the Vampire' (2000).

The film utilized thousands of real rats for some scenes to enhance the practical effects.

Bill Skarsgård underwent significant prosthetic work to transform into Count Orlok, a look that was kept under wraps for much of the production.
