Jane Wyatt was borrowed from 20th Century-Fox for this film. She didn't think much of the role until she was cast in the popular television show Father Knows Best (1954) as a result of her performance in this picture.

Film debuts of Kipp Hamilton (as Rita Hamilton) and Phyllis Kirk.

"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie on June 11, 1951 with Farley Granger reprising his film role.
