TRIVIA

Trivia

The movie includes some scenes based on a post script to the novel entitled "Paper on Glahn's Death" which tells the story of Glahn's Death years later in India. This short story was actually written two years before "Pan" and later added to the novel by Hamsun himself. The two texts have also different narrators.

It's the fourth film adaptation of the novel. The previous ones were produced in 1922 (Norway), 1937 (Germany) and 1962 (Sweden).

It's Carlsen's second adaptation of a novel written by Norwegian author Knut Hamsun, the first being "Hunger" ("Sult", 1966).
