The eight-episode series' hook is a combination of fanciful aspects, but what makes Paper Girls amazing is how it depicts preteen female bonding in an unexpectedly lovely way. The comic by Vaughan and Chiang is rather bizarre. The film's four major characters are expressive and immediately likeable, despite the fact that they are slaves to the plot and only interact with one another during the frenetic action scenes. Its colours are brilliant, its aesthetic is a hyper-stylized imitation of the 1980s, and its aesthetic is vibrant. It's an astoundingly charming and deftly emotional series, especially in the middle of the season. A lot of thought-provoking, moving conversation, subtle nonverbal cues, and very astute usage of chronological paradoxes are used to highlight important universal themes in this production. It's quite fun, but it does not do a great job at explaining its theory. More than anything else, it's about the youthful optimism slamming forcefully into the realities of adulthood.
