TRIVIA

Trivia

Shot in fifteen days, consecutively back to back, in rural Victoria, Australia.

Key creatives - producer, Alexandros Ouzas, editor-director Nick Kozakis, writer-director Kosta Ouzas - financed the entire film themselves. The total production budget for 'Plague' was AUD $150,000 and in the end it cost around AUD $130,000.

The film was conceived, shot, completed and released over a twenty month period during 2013-2014. The project started with screenwriting in March 2013 for a few months, with the shoot commencing in early January 2014, and the first screening in late October 2014.

Debut theatrical feature film directed by both co-directors Nick Kozakis and Kosta Ouzas who were also the editor and the writer respectively but neither was the cinematographer who was Tim Metherall.

The shoot, which shot in rural regional north-eastern Victoria for about two weeks in January 2014, was affected by a severe heatwave during principal photography, with the temperature inside the shed set hotter than it was outside.
