TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Loosely based on the book by Melissa de la Cruz of the same title.

There are many references to Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" in the movie: the main character's name is Darcy Fitzwilliam, which is the reverse of the main love interest of the book, Mr. (Fitzwilliam) Darcy. Also, the town in which the movie takes place is Pemberley, a clear nod to Mr. Darcy's country estate.

Popular Dialogues

"Luke: The great and charmed Darcy Fitzwilliam. Always destined for huge success. Darcy: You say that almost like it's a bad thing. Luke: No, I'm happy for you. We should all be so lucky. Darcy: Oh, luck. Yeah. I mean, maybe it's not so much luck. Maybe it's, you know, hard work. Luke: A little luck on the side."

"Darcy: All right, well, I guess we better get shopping. Luke: For my theme. Darcy: Actually, it's our collective theme. Luke: Sure, why not."
