Rajiv Rai shot the film in sync sound but was forced to dub the film after its completion.This was due to Kirti Reddy having a heavy south Indian accent when she spoke Hindi.
Rajiv Rai shot the film abroad due to the underworlds attack on his life back in 1997.
When Bobby Deol declined the film due to date problems, Akshay Kumar was approached. But he did not have bulk dates to shoot the film in UK. Arjun Rampal was then bumped into the lead role. For the role formerly to be done by Arjun, the casting was very problematic. No lead actor's had immediate bulk dates for a schedule in UK. Plus no senior actor wanted to play a supporting role to Arjun Rampal. Aftab agreed to the role because he had no work at the time and had the required dates Rajiv Rai needed.
Arjun Rampal was originally signed to act in the role eventually done by Aftab . Bobby Deol was to do the role eventually done by Arjun Rampal. Once Bobby Deol exited the film, Arjun was bumped into the lead role and Aftab was signed for the role that Arjun had signed.
The film was previously titled " Paree".
