The film was shot and completed with the name AANKHON KE SAAMNE. But the film lay unreleased for 10 years. Finally the producer was able to find a distributor and changed the name of the film to RAJOO DADA to suit Mithuns action image.
Vijayendra did not shoot for the climax scene and refused to dub for the film.
The entire motorcycle race scene from the movie Heeron Ka Chor was inserted into Rajoo Dada. This was due to Rajoo Dada being incomplete due to financial problems.
The film was titled Janam Aur Karam at one point.
The car chase scene in Don was shown in the credits, even a glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan driving was shown.
