Ranga Maarthanda is a wonderful movie. The film opens with congratulations for Prakashraj as he formally retires and, in his joy, leaves his money to both his daughter and son. It is not unpredictable what is bound to happen next. The film is reminiscent of Baghban in many ways but still manages to stand out and be unique. Prakashraj's performance in this is most likely his best. Theatrics are astounding. In a hospital scenario, the equally skilled Brahmanandam appeared. There is a very small possibility of tears not being shed because this film is full of intense emotions. This film is capable of evoking empathy and sympathy, especially for a viewer who is very close to their parents. The direction is top notch and the performances by all actors are commendable. The film is impactful and keeps you engaged throughout. Themes of family and relationships are beautifully highlighted and this film is definitely a must-watch.
