Kappei Yamaguchi, Megumi Hayashibara, Noriko Hidaka, Minami Takayama, Kikuko Inoue, Kôichi Yamadera and Rei Sakuma reprise their respective roles from Ranma ½ (1989) of Ranma Saotome, Ranma-chan, Akane Tendô, Nabiki Tendô, Kasumi Tendô, Ryôga Hibiki and Shampoo.
In the Latin American dub, made in Mexico, dearly remembered voice actors reprised their roles, like Rossy Aguirre as Akane Tendô, Bardo Miranda as Soun Tendô, Mayra Arellano as Kasumi Tendô and Martín Soto as Jusenkyô's Guide. It's unknown yet why both voice actors for Ranma Saotome, boy and girl version, didn't returned.
Based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Weekly Shounen Sunday from August 1987 to March 1996, with the chapters collected in 38 tankobon volumes by Shogakukan.
This is the second remake adaptation of a Rumiko Takahashi manga, after Urusei Yatsura (1981) was remade as Urusei Yatsura (2022).
Ken'ichi Ogata, who played Ranma's father Genma Saotome in Ranma ½ (1989), narrates the show.
