TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

When casting, Twilight hadn't come out yet, which means the producers had no idea the attention the movie was about to get when they cast Pattinson in the lead role of Tyler. "I didn't know who he was," Allen Coulter [Director] admitted. "That was an advantage, because I cast him just because I liked him."

The screenplay for this film was featured in the 2008 Blacklist, a list of the "most liked" unmade scripts of the year.

Robert Pattinson, aside from being the lead actor, has an executive producer credit for this movie. He admits he came to being a producer for it towards the end of the movie, and that he did it to protect the process.

The role of Ally was difficult to cast, and it took quite some time to find Emilie de Ravin. The main problem with de Ravin was the difference between her height (5' 2") and Robert Pattinson's (6' 1').

Emilie de Ravin was cast on the day of her audition. Her chemistry with Robert Pattinson is what sold the producers. Pattinson has said that they hit it off right away

Popular Dialogues

"Tyler: Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it. Because nobody else will. Like when someone comes into your life and half of you says you're nowhere near ready, but the other half says: make her yours forever."

"Tyler: Gandhi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it because nobody else will. Like when someone comes into your life and half of you says: "You're nowhere near ready". And the other half says: "Make her yours forever". Michael, Caroline asked me what would I say if I knew you could hear me. I said: "I do know. I love you. God, I miss you, and I forgive you."
