This film is one of the longest release of a sequel for a Bollywood movie series - 'Jewel Thief' was released in 1967 but waited 29 years before a sequel was released. It was the longest release of a sequel until it was equalled by Sadak 2 in 2020 which was itself a sequel of Sadak released in 1991.
In the 1967 classic Jewel Thief, Prince Arjun, played by Ashok Kumar, is shown to have been arrested on the plane and is understood to have gone to jail. Then in the sequel Return Of Jewel Thief, in the beginning, it shows he is old, coming out of jail and starts to plan revenge against Vinay and reprise his role in being the jewel thief.
Anu Agarwal went abroad without completing her work, her role was cut , some changes was done and the dubbing was done by someone else, actually she was to be in the film till the end.
Anu Agarwal had walked out of the film after Ashok Tyagi misbehaved with her at a party .
Sonika Gill's younger sister Ishana was to debut in the film opposite Jackie Shroff. She was later dropped from the film.
