    Roxy is at it again when, in pursuit of a local journalism award, she brings home a mysterious amnesiac who was found soaking wet outside of the local coffee shop. After ceremoniously naming her ANNIE NONYMOUS, Roxy takes the young lady home and finds that even the most common household item is a complete mystery to Annie. STORY

Story
Roxy is at it again when, in pursuit of a local journalism award, she brings home a mysterious amnesiac who was found soaking wet outside of the local coffee shop. After ceremoniously naming her ANNIE NONYMOUS, Roxy takes the young lady home and finds that even the most common household item is a complete mystery to Annie. When Annie returns dripping wet from the lake several nights in a row, Roxy determines what is abundantly clear to her, Annie is a mermaid. A mermaid who has to find her way home.

Trivia

A special features segment included on the official DVD release for Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid revealed that the "Roxy Hunter Triggerification Process" song segment, portrayed in the film as a spontaneous song, actually took a great deal of rehearsing beforehand, and multiple scene retakes. Actors Aria Wallace (Roxy Hunter) and Julian Richings (Mr. Tibers, the librarian) both considered the scene a lot of fun, but difficult. Richings had to alter his own voice during parts of the song to mimic different regional accents, and both actors had to get the song's rapid lyrics completely correct from memory.
