The reason for Priya to have a son but not a daughter was because the director wanted to pay tribute to the departed soul, Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar. In fact, the kid is even named Puneeth.
The setting up of train track near Priya's house which is used by Manu for looking into Priya's life day and night is synonym to the scene in Side A where they reject a house sighting constant train noise would lead to sleepless nights.
The poster on which Manu makes a hole to allow sunlight into Priya's home contains advertisement of a high rise apartment which they both visited and were dreaming of owning in Side B.
The whole fight scene where Manu gets into a room with bunch of people, is a one shot scene with no cuts or edits.
Rakshit Shetty(Manu) reduced his interactions with Rukmini(Priya) during shooting of Side B, as he believed being casual with her off screen would affect him while playing the actual character of Manu who is haunted by her memories.
