The actors and actresses were offered Equity minimum and a percentage of future profits as their salaries.
The makers presented the project to investors a mere two weeks before shooting began, at which point the actors and actresses had already signed on with the offer of Equity minimum and a percentage of future profits as their salaries. To increase the budget, Producer and Director Ed Blum re-mortgaged his flat.
The extras in Ewan McGregor and Douglas Hodge's scenes were dancers from the stage production of "Guys and Dolls" both actors were appearing in at the time.
The film managed to attract a cast including so many big names because the individual actors only spent two or three days filming their scenes and the producers offered them flexibility to work around their schedule on other projects and commitments.
At the time (2006) the most successful self-released film in UK cinemas.
"Iris: You see, once you commit yourself to something, however bizarre it might seem to other people, you kind of owe it to yourself to enjoy the experience."
"Molly: Shut up! People will start staring. Jamie: It's Hampstead Heath. They think you're weird if you're not having sex."
