This was the last of the seventeen Superman shorts and the only one not to feature Lois Lane. However, Joan Alexander, who had played Lois Lane in the earlier shorts, has an uncredited role as the unnamed Secret Agent.
Superman has only one line of dialogue in the entire short. That line, which he speaks while disguised as Clark Kent, is "But, Chief...."
The original manuscript, titled "Under the River", shows that Lois Lane originally was to be in the short, but was later cut out for unknown reasons.
Superman next appears in animation in a commercial for Colgate Palmolive Soaky bubble bath promoting his character bottle.
