IMDbBest Performance in a Feature Film Young Actor Age Ten or Under | 2002 | Angus T.
The original cut of the film was 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The character Benny, played by Anthony Anderson, originally had one line in the film. The director decided that Gordon needed someone to talk to, so they increased the role of Benny.
In the beginning of the movie, there are plenty of shots of the orange couch in Gordon's apartment. Later throughout the movie, several cushions can be seen wrapped in duct tape, this is due to the dog playing Agent 11 having torn up the cushions while the camera was off according to commentary.
Michael Clarke Duncan filmed two scenes with a broken leg. The scene where he takes Spot away from Gordon and James and the scene where Spot decides to stay with Gordon and James. Any shots of him standing up was a stand-in.
David Arquette and Anthony Anderson reunited in the 2011 horror film Scream 4.
"Neighbor: Hey, shutup down there! Gordon: I'm covered in ca-ca!"
"Officer in Alaska: You seem especially happy to be here! Murdoch: This is not a smile, my face is frozen like this."
