The Xou da Xuxa (1988) sets were rebuilt from scratch to recreate the infamous moment Xuxa welcomed Ayrton Senna on stage.
The first biographical dramatization of Ayrton Senna and his life. Many of the supporting characters mark the first time they are fully portrayed on screen. For instance, Pâmela Tomé is the first actress to portray Xuxa in a drama.
Adriane Galisteu was publicly upset that producers did not reach out to her during the making. She was Senna's last girlfriend and he intended to marry her, but Senna's family (who were involved in the production of this series) didn't approve the relationship. To this day, his family doesn't allow her to be included in anything related to him, such as homages and the 2010 documentary. Reportedly, Netflix said they would only to the series if she could be shown somehow.
Hugo Bonemer played Senna in the theater production. He was cast in a smaller role in the mini series.
A serialized drama based on Xuxa's own life had difficulties in finding an actress for the lead. In contrast, Pâmela Tomé portrays her in this series.
