There are several references/tributes to popular werewolf movies in various rooms throughout the warehouse. If you look closely, there is a sign on a door that reads: Talbot Industry. Larry Talbot is the name of the character in the original Wolf Man (1941). There is a yellow smiley face sticker on the mirror in the bathroom of the warehouse. This is a reference to The Howling (1981) where yellow smiley face stickers are seen throughout the movie. On one of the walls in the warehouse, there is a ripped up poster of London. This is a reference to An American Werewolf in London (1981).
The movie was shot in 8 days on a budget of about $25,000.00
The surname Schafer was used because it means Shepherd in German
A sticker for The Brutalizers can be seen on a trash can in the warehouse. This was originally the name of the fake band that the main characters are in (and was also a reference to one of Kurtis Spieler's short films). The name of the band was later changed to The Dick Punchers after an on-set joke.
