The official drinks used in the film are actual energy beverages called "Sum Poosie" and "Think Pink". Both have a vibrant pink color to them and are made and distributed by the Hollywood Beach Beverage Company in Florida.
The character of Brian lives on "1215 Lynch Avenue". 1215 is the birth date (15 December) of actor James Townsend (Devon), while Lynch avenue is a nod to 'David Lynch'.
Auditions for the film were often held outdoors in an open park. During one of the final castings for the character of Brian, the actors auditioning and the casting crew at hand soon found themselves under a heavy unexpected rainfall. Everyone stuck their ground as the auditions continued on and actors found themselves acting out scenes from soggy wet script selections barely readable through the bleeding ink.
Much debate has gone into the final ending of the film with approximately five different endings having been written before the final one was selected.
The first sex scene between Brian ('Alex Wilson') and Devon ('James Townsend' ) was shot in small intervals over the course of three days during the 2004 Los Angeles Gay Pride weekend.
