IMDbMickey Rooney wrote a letter of protest against the first Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) stating that the "scum" who made it should be "run out of town" for having sullied the sacredness of Christmas , but he co-starred in this fifth installment in the gory horror series.
During the scene where Noah is playing Santa at the mall, a little girl asks him for a copy of the movie "Bride of Re-Animator", which was a film directed by screenwriter Brian Yuzna, who also directed the fourth Silent Night, Deadly Night. Additionally, the little girl is played by Yuzna's daughter Zoe Yuzna.
The characters Pino and Petto are references to Pinocchio and Gepetto, from the classic 1883 novel.
