TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This was the last film to be shot at Roger Corman's studios in Venice Beach, California, and it only had a 12-day shooting schedule. The studio was being torn down during the production, which they wrote into the script.

The film actually began life as a remake of The Slumber Party Massacre (1982), and writers John Huckert and Dan Acre were hired to pen the script. But after visiting the soon-to-be-demolished studio they came up with this idea instead. Producer 'Damien Akhavi' helped them write the story. Footage from the original 'The Slumber Party Massacre' can still be seen during a murder sequence as an inside joke for the production crew.

Though the principal photography took place in February 2001, the final sequences were not filmed until July 2002. The long break was necessitated by the fact that the scenes were to be shot in Malibu, but the rainfall was unusually heavy, so the completion of the film was postponed. Director Brian Katkin actually shot another film during the break in this movie's production.

It took seven takes to break the mirror.

Lorissa McComas was doubled in several scenes.

Popular Dialogues

"Madigan: How are we possibly going to film it? Steve: Gary's got a camera, it'll work! Tell 'em Gary! Gary: [puzzled] I've... got a camera... it'll work"

"Trisha: I've got some girls in my acting class that'll totally do it. Steve: Great! Trisha: Some of them are even good too. Steve: That doesn't matter, this script is bulletproof!"
