Ursula Meier recalls that when Louise Szpindel played the scene where her character undresses and sees herself naked in her entirety, the 14-year-old actress broke down. "We emptied the set to leave only the cameraman, I directed him with the video feedback. The moral contract is there. If an actor doesn't want to go somewhere, either we don't go or we find a solution together," Meier says.
Director Ursula Meier said that she and Louise Szpindel got along very well outside of the shoot, but on the set, it was a catastrophe. "We yelled at each other! It was like I was a tyrannical director! The other actors told me that I was very hard on her because I didn't let her get away with anything. It was intuitive. The character's rage was fed by the rage she had towards me."
