TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

During the band border crossing scene, the Border Guard mentions that he used to be in a band. He is played by Alex Lifeson, famed guitarist of Canadian band Rush.

Alice Cooper kindly provided all his character's wardrobe because of the restraints of the low budget of the film. The only exception was that of the red and black crossroads jacket because it would have to be cut in the back for the final scene.

The scene in which Jennifer hovers over Joey's bed while he sleeps was achieved by turning the camera on its side. A makeshift nightstand and lamp were mounted to a wall, both actors were standing upright and Jessica Paré simply dipped in and out of frame.

During the band's final club performance several club goers can be seen wearing shirts with the film's title logo on them.

Various shots in the movie are meant to evoke classic rock album covers. Some examples: A shot of the band crossing the street is an homage to The Beatles "Abbey Road." Another shot of the band using a Union Jack flag as a blanket is based on The Who's "The Kids Are Alright." In the border station, the first shot is a nod to Bruce Springsteen's "Born In The USA".

Popular Dialogues

"Jennifer: [after Hugo discovers her draining a victim] It's not what it looks like. Hugo: You drank the guy!"

"Jeff: What I'm saying is that as your manager I'm advising you to fire your manager."
