The Alamo is a real bar (converted from an old movie theater) in Newnan, GA. The upstairs mural (seen from the stage) was painted for the movie and is still there. The "after party" bar is real-life RPM that's just down the street. The latticework was only in place for the movie, then taken down. The coffeeshop, Leaf & Bean, is a few stores down from The Alamo and was largely untouched for the film.
The movie was filmed in Newnan, Georgia about 35 miles southwest of Atlanta.
Saundra Collins film debut.
