TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The set is not an actual motel room, as many viewers assumed, but carefully constructed (and designed by Stephen Beatrice) on a sound stage and including many remarkable details, such as the curtain being cut around the air conditioner, and stains on the wall that betray missing pictures.

Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman were previously in Gattaca together, where Ethan's character was also named Vincent.

Robert Sean Leonard and Ethan Hawke both played in Dead Poets Society as classmates and best friends.

Vince is never seen leaving or entering the motel room.

Ethan Hawke is connected to each actor and the director via other work. Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard were co-stars in Dead Poets Society (1989); Hawke and Uma Thurman were previously in Gattaca (1997) together (and were also married at the time); and Hawke worked with director Richard Linklater on the "Before" Trilogy, as well as Linklater's 12 year project, Boyhood (2014).

Popular Dialogues

"Amy: People change. They end up having nothing to say to each other even if they were best friends years before."

"Vince: What you think I'm a dick? Jon: Uh, no. But I do know that occasionally you have a tendency to act in a phallic fashion."
