Filmed and posing as a London family and background, the family of 14 originates from Birmingham, and were, eventually, relocated as a family to a farm in Cornwall, England.
Most of the children, excluding Jack Wild, were non-actors.
The location used for filming was torn down by developers requiring it to be recreated in the studio.
The end of the film finishes with This is a a true story and it continues....
