Rotten TomatoesThe Big Bang Theory is a comedy drama series that revolves around a group of four geeky friends: experimental physicist Leonard Hofstadter, theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz, and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali. The four work at Caltech University in California, as their quirks and personal incidents invoke a ton of humour. The long-running show is known for its witty writing, clever humor, and pop culture references, alongside the incredible acting. Further to that, the supporting cast, including Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, add to the show's charm. While the show has been criticised for its overused slapstick humour and predictable plot. Overall, The Big Bang Theory is an entertaining and witty show that has become a cultural phenomenon. While it may not be for everyone, fans of sitcoms and those interested in geek culture will find plenty to enjoy in this beloved series.

Unlike most TV shows or movies, when characters in the show eat, the prop food is real. Their prop master previously aspired to be a chef and lovingly cooks every meal seen on screen.
Laurie Metcalf, who plays Sheldon's mother Mary Cooper, is the mother of Zoe Perry, who plays Sheldon's mother Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (2017).
Sheldon (Jim Parsons) can be seen wearing various versions of "Flash" t-shirts throughout the series. In the series The Flash (2014), character Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) frequently wears "The Big Bang Theory" based shirts, such as one with Sheldon's catchphrase "Bazinga!"
Most of the time, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) has no lenses in his glasses.
Mayim Bialik is the only cast member to have a PhD. In 2008, she completed her neuroscience studies and earned her PhD in Neuroscience.
"[repeated line when someone accuses Sheldon of being crazy] Sheldon: I'm not crazy. My mother had me tested!"
"[repeated line when Sheldon knocks on Penny's door] Sheldon: [Knock-knock-knock] Penny! Sheldon: [Knock-knock-knock] Penny! Sheldon: [Knock-knock-knock] Penny!"
