TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

With a budget of $1m the movie made $101m at the Box Office making this the most profitable movie of the last 5 years.

A sequel was mooted until director William Brent Bell started receiving hate email over the ending of the film.

Initially written as a conventional thriller until lack of interest from various studios prompted William Brent Bell and Matthew Peterman to retool it as a found-footage/ documentary feature.

Matthew Peterman and Brent Bell first came up with the idea for the movie when they read an article about the Vatican starting a school for exorcism.

One of the three films that received an "F" CinemaScore from audiences upon their release in 2012, along with Silent House (2011) and Killing Them Softly (2012).

Popular Dialogues

"Maria Rossi: Have you ever witnessed a real exorcism Father? Father Robert Gallo: Yeah! Right after he saw the Easter Bunny!"

"Isabella Rossi: Let my mother go. Maria Rossi: You'll burn."
