TRIVIA

Trivia

When asked during an interview if she felt a low-budget non-exploitive video like The Evilmaker without considerable sex and nudity had much of chance on the video market, star Stephanie Beaton said, "I think a non-exploitive film does have a good chance. I know everyone wants sex for distribution but I have seen some pretty good low budget films out there that don't have a ton of sex in it."

Stephanie Beaton accidentally burned herself with a lantern twice while filming outdoors. She said it then exploded while she was off attending to her second burn. If she had been holding it when that happened, it would have caused severe damage to her face and body.

Stephanie Beaton said she loved the script because it's similar to classic horror and not just a bunch of nudity and sex scenes. She said she isn't against nudity and sex when it isn't gratuitous, but to her most of it is. Directors who aren't talented enough to make an entertaining film just cast women willing to show their naked bodies hoping that will draw an audience.
