Filmed over the course of several days in October 1997, had a single screening at a film festival in October 1998, and then was released straight to Video in May 1999.

Second film in the series. The first film without Troma's involvement.

Detective Lutz is the only character from the previous films to appear in Witchcraft X. Det Garner and Will Spanner are referenced but not seen.

Stephanie Beaton stated in an interview that this was her favorite of the films she had appeared in.
