TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

A showing of the movie in Malmö, Sweden led into a brawl in the cinema between supporters of rival soccer teams Malmö FF and Helsingborg IF. The movie was banned from cinemas after the brawl.

During the encounter between Billy Bright and Millwall Fred at the junior game, Frank Harper ad-libbed most of his lines, including the "Kebab shop" racial slur. The anger shown by Tamer Hassan is genuine and Nick Love kept it in the film.

Tommy Johnson walks into a lounge where his friend Rod is playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002). This game was made by Rockstar Games, who are also credited as being Executive Producers for the movie. Also, Danny Dyer who plays Tommy Johnson in Football Factory was the voice of Kent Paul in Vice City.

Dougray Scott and Sean Bean were originally in the film before the original script, director and cast were scrapped.

The Chelsea/Union Flag you can see hung up on the rear window of the coach when the firm is traveling "Up North", is in fact, a real Chelsea Headhunters flag given to the project by one of the original Headhunters. Also, the specific skull and cross bone (Deads Head/Totenkopf) symbol on the flag are symbols first used by the Prussian army under Frederick the Great and later used by the Stabswache, which turned into the Nazi Schutzstaffel, and is commonly used worldwide by Neo-Nazi and White Supremacy organizations.

Popular Dialogues

"Tommy Johnson: What else are you gonna do on a Saturday? Sit in your fuckin' armchair wankin' off to Pop Idols? Then try and avoid your wife's gaze as you struggle to come to terms with your sexless marriage? Then go and spunk your wages on kebabs, fruit machines and brasses? Fuck that for a laugh! I know what I'd rather do. Tottenham away, love it!"

"Billy Bright: We'll get the beers safe and then we'll outflank 'em, yeah?"
