TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Billy Blanks' portrayal of Khan in this film has officially been mentioned (by former Capcom R&D member James Goddard) as the inspiration for the Street Fighter character Dee Jay, who made his first appearance in Super Street Fighter II.

The final battle between Loren Avedon and Billy Blanks took two weeks to film.

When Loren's character is watching the video and changes his mind about going to Thailand, he does a "Sly Stallone" type yell. Loren was told by the director to do this and he did it approximately 4 or 5 times. Loren hated it, he wanted to throw the video into the fire instead - then call the captain and have a moment after the phone call to fall apart knocking over some furniture. But the film makers had their minds set on the funny sounding scream and put that in the movie instead.

Despite playing lovers in the film, Loren Avedon and Sherrie Rose did not get along behind the scenes, with Avedon claiming Rose bad-mouthed him after he told her to shut up whilst filming in the jungle.

The character played by Bruce Fontaine exclaims "Hey, he hit me!" after an opponent slashes him with a knife. The scene was originally written so that Fontaine would be punched, but when the knives were improvised, no one updated the dialogue or corrected Fontaine.

Popular Dialogues

"Jake Donahue: [while he is watching "No Retreat No Surrender 3: Blood Brothers] It's like a Bruce Lee movie without Bruce."

"Jake Donahue: I'm listening to a fucking drunk. Prang: Worthless piece of shit American. Jake Donahue: I heard that. Prang: I wanted you to!"
