TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The 45 years between the original film and the sequel was the longest gap in motion picture history for a sequel in which the original star reprises his same role, until it was dethroned by Manos Returns (2018), released 52 years after Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966) and with three of the original stars reprising their roles. The Nutty Professor still holds the title as of 2022 if independent films such as Manos and its sequel are not taken into account.

The place where Zeke and Ned perform is called "The Pit", a reference to the original film - the nightclub in the film is called "the Purple Pit".

This is one of the few times that a film and its sequel have the same title.

At one point in the film, Jack paraphrases Buddy Love and says to Polly, "Want some?" (referring to pizza instead of his hand.)

Popular Dialogues

"[angry people are standing outside Harold's house] Harold: It's an angry mob! Robin: No, it's not. There's only seven people out there. And most of them are children. [one of the people pulls out a pitchfork] Robin: Oh, wait. There's a pitchfork. It is an angry mob!"

"Buddy Love: Am I right? [pause] Buddy Love: Course I am! I'm Buddy Love, remember?"
