The long nonsense word that Peter Sellers says during his scene is actually the name of a Welsh town, known for being the longest place name anywhere: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
The seventh of the seven Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour "Road" movies. Dorothy Lamour only showed up long enough to help the boys out of a jam and still have enough time left over to get a song in.
In-joke: Peter Sellers sings a few bars of "Thanks for the memory", Bob Hope's theme song.
Joan Collins was given the female lead in this final "Road" movie and Dorothy Lamour was given a small cameo appearance. When Lamour balked (and since financial backing hinged on her participation in the project), her role was enlarged.
Bob Hope's and Bing Crosby's final Road movie. Two years after Crosby's death, Hope announced the possibility (in earnest) of doing "The Road to the Fountain of Youth" with George Burns, but nothing came of it.
"Harry Turner: Chester, I give you my SOLEMN word. THIS time it's not dangerous. Chester Babcock: Not dangerous? Harry Turner: No. Chester Babcock: That's what 'cha said when you shot me out of a cannon, when you dropped me in a tank with an octopus, when you had me wrestle a gorilla. It's not dangerous! I'm not goin'. I'm through. I've had it. So forget it, *Charly*!"
"Harry Turner: [hands Chester a hand mirror] Who's that? Chester Babcock: [seeing his reflection] I don't know, but gimme a stick and I'll kill it."
